Guest Stars

  • This episode is part of Disney Channel's Sounds of Summer Event with Andy Grammer as the musical guest star.
  • SPARF-A-Rooney was originally shot for Season 3, but was moved to Season 2 because Andy Grammer would guest star on it in time for Disney Channel's Sounds of Summer event.
  • During the scene where Maddie claimed to be taking Todd Stetson to the festival, Todd wore a muscle T-shirt reading "I Know What I'm Montauk'in About." This is a reference to the Montauk Point Lighthouse, at the easternmost point of Long Island, New York.
  • This was South's second appearance on the show, her first being in BFF-A-Rooney.
  • Maddie and Diggie take different parters to the dance, however they both regreted it.

  • As this episode was scheduled for Season 3, Diggie would've already left for Australia when this episode aired.
    • However, as Season 3 began filming in Summer 2015, the writers most likely knew that this episode would be moved to Season 2.
