Hoops-A-Rooney is the sixth episode in season 2 of Liv & Maddie. It aired on November 23, 2014 and received 2.6 million total viewers.
Overview[]
When Liv is offered the lead in a basketball movie, Maddie and Willow volunteer to transform her from a clumsy athlete to a basketball pro. Joey and Parker fight over a robotics partner.
Episode Summary[]
Back at the Rooney House, Liv (in a southern belle outfit) revealed that her manager got her a part in a film called "Southern Hoops", which she believes to be a film about Southern Belles. Unfortunately for Liv, Becky revealed that Southern Hoops isn't a film with Southern Belles (which the title would be misleading) but rather a biographical film about Holly Bell, the fame underdog of the girls' basketball team who led her team to the state championship. It was also revealed that they wanted Liv because Becky told the studio that she can play and saw all of her trophies and led her team to the championship just like Holly, only to discover that it wasn't Liv but rather Maddie.

- Holly Bell was a reference to the author of Go, Maddie, Go! Ironically Maddie in Go, Maddie, Go! is a basketball player too, and she had the same jersey number. (Holly probably did not do all the things Maddie says she did.)
