Allen Alvarado has a knack for overachieving. At the ripe age of four, he decided that he wanted to be an actor. His goal was to be the sidekick of Conan O’Brien on his nightly show.
Allen began to audition for commercials in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois, and landed a national spot for Ballpark Franks. Commercials were motivation for Allen, and he got his first glimpse of a movie set when he appeared in On the Line with Lance Bass and Joey Fatone from NSync. In Chicago, he has also appeared in productions on the Goodman Theatre stage, in which he shined.
His series regular role in Flight 29 Down marked Allen’s national television debut. Other television credits include Cold Case, The Bill Engvall Show, and American Dad. These have lead to roles in films, such as Average American, Cryptic, and most recently, Lower Learning, with Eva Longoria and Jason Biggs. He has also appeared on stage at the Lyric Theatre in Los Angeles.
Allen now spends most of his time with his family in Los Angeles. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, reading, and practicing Hapkido, in which he currently holds a red belt. He is learning to play the guitar and piano and has aspirations of adding musician to his resume, as well as remaining a force in the acting world. He is currently the lead guitarist of the Los Angeles based band Floodzone. It has been confirmed that he never removes his "beanie" hat, even while showering.
